The Florida Panthers have agreed to terms with goaltender Louis Domingue on a one-year, two-way contract for the remainder of the 2025–26 season. The announcement was made by the club’s President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, Bill Zito.
Domingue, 33, has appeared in seven games this season with the Panthers’ AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, posting a 3–3–0 record. Earlier in the season, the veteran netminder also played 11 games in the Kontinental Hockey League with Sibir Novosibirsk before returning to North America.
The St-Hyacinthe, Quebec native has played in 144 career NHL games, recording a 61–60–10 record along with a .906 save percentage and a 3.01 goals-against average. Over the course of his NHL career, Domingue has suited up for the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Calgary Flames, New Jersey Devils, Tampa Bay Lightning and Arizona Coyotes. He has also appeared in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games with Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh.
In the American Hockey League, Domingue has played 233 career games across multiple teams, including the Charlotte Checkers, Hartford Wolf Pack, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Stockton Heat, Binghamton Devils, Syracuse Crunch, Springfield Falcons and Portland Pirates. In those appearances, he has posted a 104–92–23 record with a .905 save percentage and a 2.82 goals-against average.
Prior to turning professional, Domingue spent four seasons in the QMJHL with the Moncton Wildcats and Quebec Remparts. During the 2011–12 season, he led the league with a .914 save percentage.
Domingue was originally selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the fifth round, 138th overall, in the 2010 NHL Draft.
