The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled defenseman Adam Ginning from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League (AHL), the team announced.
Ginning returns to the NHL roster after spending time with the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, where he has been a key part of Lehigh Valley’s defensive group this season. The 6-foot-4 Swedish blueliner is known for his physical presence, defensive reliability, and penalty-killing ability.
Originally selected by Philadelphia in the second round (50th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft, Ginning has steadily developed within the organization. Since arriving in North America, he has gained experience with the Phantoms while also earning opportunities with the Flyers at the NHL level.
The recall adds depth to Philadelphia’s blue line as the team continues its push through the NHL schedule.
